Incheon International Airport is sometimes referred to as Seoul–Incheon International Airport. It is the largest airport in South Korea. It is also the primary airport serving the Seoul Capital Area and one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. The airport was constructed to share the demand for air transport in the 21st century and to serve as a hub airport in Northeast Asia.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Incheon International Airport’s cargo handling jumped 23 percent on-year to 1.62 million tons in the first half of the year. The full-year amount is likely to top 3 million tons for the first time since its launch. There are also plans to further expand Incheon International Airport’s cargo-handling capacity. This will help it to evolve as a logistics hub in Northeast Asia.
The Incheon airport is currently expanding and building new terminals for global delivery companies FedEx and DHL. There is also plans for opening a new cool center for temperature sensitive cargo, such as bio-pharmaceuticals, fresh products, and animals. This will definitely help to minimize waiting and transit time, and protect cargo from bad weather.
